Although this hotel offers some of the best views of Cork city centre, it is in fact in a remarkably quiet location, aloft a hill and within its own private grounds. The hotel was built in 1872 as a military hospital and the current owners have strived to keep a strong sense of history evident in the way that the building is made up and establishment is run. Opened as a hotel in 1997, the residence is a great way of enjoying a slice of Irish hospitality in luxury.
